NHS Health Services
These days there is a great strain on health services especially with the increase in cancer, binge drinking and the rise in obesity levels so it is vital that the young are educated in how to be and stay healthy. This needs to start at home and continue in schools covering topics such as healthy eating and exercise.
Health services cannot continue to support a population who are incapable of looking after their own health. There is a limit to how much it can cope with. Obesity and binge drinking ahead of others can be avoided with lifestyle choices. It is no longer acceptable to over indulge and expect someone else to pick up the pieces. It may even be time to remove some services from the free of charge list on the NHS. Maybe when people have to pay they will begin to look at what they are doing.
Put simply many of today’s problems that are stretching the NHS are avoidable and so it is up to each and every one of us to do our bit to look after our own health rather than expect the different health services in the UK to do it for us. At some point they will simply not be able to cope. It is simply a case of personal responsibility.
