UK Health Services

We are lucky in the UK to have such a wide range of different health service. We have the front line health services such as paramedic units through to ambulances that ferry people to and from hospital for treatment. This is a true lifeline if you are elderly or are undergoing serious treatments. We then have GP’s surgeries and a number of hospitals some of which specialise in specific treatments such as Great Ormond street.

The various levels of our health services allow us to get the best possible treatment no matter what the problem is. If we have been in a car accident then the paramedics are the best, require an injection then maybe a GP’s surgery is the best or for more serious treatments a hospital is best. By splitting these health services up we can create niche treatment centres that offer the exact treatment we need.

So while many may knock our health services in this country it should be pointed out that we have services for all sorts from the emergency health services through GP’s right to the specialist hospitals that perform lifesaving operations and other treatments. All this for no cost at point of treatment means that despite what some say we still have one of the finest health services in the world.
